they are front wheel drive. so possible traction issues there as well. if he can drive, and with traction, that is a possible low 14, high 13 runner. stock they do 14.4, about, and he is running more then stock hp to the wheels. thats alot of power to manage though.

if you have alky/meth injection then just put a smaller pulley on and turn the boost up and walk him. you should be able to run 20+psi easily with alky injection on a forged engine and with you weighing a good bit less you should have no problem winning. unless you just blow the tires out.

wow now, torque does matter, as long as you can control it. that turbo will be hard to get a good launch out of though, so if hes not seasoned in it, or has done it before, hes gonna have problems.

what i mean is, its better for you because you are S/C IMO. they are more managable to launch. turbos are tricky. have you taken your car to a track? my friend has a mazdaspeed protege, and i've driven it a few times, i hate trying to take off in it, and take off right. on the other hand any S/C car i've driven is a breeze, because it doesnt have to spool up.
