car engine for stationay use

Is it possible to convert a 2002 Ford 2L engine so it can be used as a stationary engine to power a small sawmill? Used to be easy prior to computer controls.
Any advise would be appreciated

I dunno. I think it might besides all the transmission sensors since it would probably be direct drive, correct? But that's where I see you running into the most trouble.

you'd be better off using a carb'ed engine that is stock carbed, or like a 3 cylinder detriot diesel or kubota diesel. Something easy. ECU based systems would be hard to get to work .
Though you can carb a zetec
