k&n cai

greetings all, this is my very first post, and i'm just wondering if the K&N 57-2559 will work on my 06' ZX3? I'm looking for a CAI with the most gain in HP...or if anybody knows right off hand what a good alternative will be?

I looked in the CAI thread, and I really liked the K&N one, but it looks a lot different on their website...anyways, just a few opinions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Michael

Consider sending a question to K&N on their site. The information listed on their site might be outdated regarding what years the kit you listed will fit.

Helluva power gain they claim! I'll believe it though.

From their website: "2005 FORD FOCUS 2.0L L4 F/I - All CARB Exempt: Yes"

The 2006 engine mostly identical to 2005, with changes to the PS reservoir on all cars (not near intake; no effect to you), and to an extra air hose for PZEV cars (yours shouldn't be a PZEV car; also no effect to you).

Let me tell you something. I've had that exact keny for about a year now and I just love it! I wouldn't change it even for the cosworth one. It looks clean, sounds good and adds great power. You are gona love the whistleling sound when shifting gears in high RPMs and one of the best parts is that it is black! easy to clean and keep it that way. I would say go for it, you won't regret it. BTW I also have an 06 zx3.

I've got the same one too on my '04 and I love it, sounds great, performs great, and looks cool! Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Yes it does have the provisions for the MAF sensor and the tube thingy, and it also has a carb exempt sticker so it will pass smog
One thing though, when I installed mine, the lower hose clamp that holds the air filter onto the tube was too small so I had to go buy a slightly bigger one.

Mine came with everything and it was awesome. The hardest part for me was getting the grommet for the EGR into the inake. It's a pain.
