I own a 2003 sedan & I have test drove both the 2008 sedan & coupe versions of the new Focus & for me, I prefer the coupe for multiple reasons. One reason is the fact that I'm 6 ft. 5 in. tall & the larger door makes all the difference getting in & out of the car, two i'm single with no children, & three i just think it looks sportier. One thing i do like about both versions is the fact that i can drive the car with my nees together which was impossible in the last 3 cars i have owened.(white 1997 Ford Escort LX Sport 5-speed manual[i miss that car], blue 1995 Mercury Mystique automatic, & my current car black with blue flames 2003 Ford Focus LX 5-speed manual) Both 2008 Focuses that i test drove were 5-speed manuals.

I will NEVER own another automatic!

Just brought a 08 sedan. Got the 4 door since easier for buds to
get in and out of.

Sedan for me. I do actually pile people into the backseat of my 08 Focus and I have owned enough coupes where the back of the front seat got torn up from people climbing into the back.

Besides, it's easier for putting groceries into the back seat through the open door and a sedan is less expensive to insure.
