Going to be a riot. I dont know where deca's competitions are held but FBLA is going to be over in San Antonio, TX for nationals this year....
Man I don't even think we have FBLA at my school, pretty sure it's only DECA here. Either way going to nationals is awesome! Went to Orlando last year and hopefully gonna go to Salt Lake City this year, but next year is gonna be Hollywood....that's gonna be fun. But isn't FBLA basically the same as DECA?

Wow cali is going to be awesome! and FBLA is like more of a business organization than DECA. DECA is more marketing based. If i remember right, with DECA you have to make presentations and pitch marketing stuff. With FBLA its more sit down written tests (actually on the computer) or presentations where you made something (like programming or the like) and we even have a few impromptu speaking competitions but very few in comparison to everything else. But getting to nationals is an achievement in any organization!

Ahhhh I see now. Yeah tomorrow I'm gonna be acting out a scenario with a friend (team event), not sure if you have to do that in FBLA. But I'll admit that it's helped me out a lot. Now I'm not as nervous when I talk to some random strangers lol

We do have team events. I wanted to get into the Computer Programming Level 2 Event which is a team up to 3 in size but the leader has brainfarts at times and gave my event away to another team but Im still going to compete come spring. Just got to find me a competition I can do well enough in I can get to nationals. Last year I did Business Law and decided not to study the material too much and ended up with a top 10 award and not being able to compete at nationals. If I would have studied the material a little more I coulda got to nationals but I feel not taking the class and not studying I did good considering there was like 30+ people in the competition and most had taken the class in school. Good luck in your event! Lemme know on saturday how you did at the competition.

Computer Programming Level 2...hmmmmm sounds a lot harder than what I'm doing. Sports and Entertainment Marketing here. I know first thing if I go to states that I'm gonna sign up for Automotive Marketing. Don't you hate it when someone gets a brainfart, happens all the time to me! My adviser kinda can't have a brainfart though lol she's on the NC DECA board and when we go tomorrow we have to take the trophy's and everything, so if we don't show up no one wins . Thanks and will do man! Can't wait for Saturday now!

Yeah, programming is tough and level 2 gets real bad lol. Its all visual basic but it takes forever and is lots and hours upon hours of debugging. And it sounds like your high school is pretty good when it comes to DECA. As far as advisers we have generally good ones, but everyone makes mistakes from time to time. And if your school wouldnt show up... I cant wait till saturday either, Its going to be awesome. I love being able to put a face to an account lol

The new guy

just got my new ride after 10 years of F-150s. Have had some exp. in modifying V-8s....looking to play around a bit with my baby here...not looking for radical changes other than possibly a supercharger, headers, exhaust, and suspension.

thanks.
