are these good?

alot of you know i know my shit about the fofo when it comes to performance, so other things have to take a back seat, such as audio. lol

i plan on getting the Aux adapter so i can plug an iPod shuffled into the stock headunit, im gonna keep the stock HU because its green at night, and matches the switches and HVAC panel, and i dont care enough to want to replace it.

BUT anyways... as a couple people know i will be running basically NO panels in my car eventually, but i dont want to crappy paper speakers staring at everyone, so i looked around and found these:

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...KFCP680&tp=105

are they good?

basically sinse i wont be running rear panels at all in the car ill need an asthetically pleasing speaker for the rear.

i dont want LED's or anything in the speakers, i just want the speakers to look good sitting in the skeleton of the car.

thanks, and if they arent good if anyone could point me to a good lookin speaker for the rears, ill be getting matching fronts for the doors, but the door panels will be staying, but i want sound quality to match......

pretty good speaks- they might not sound all that great unless you amplify them- but Kenwood always rocks!

You can run an amp with a stock deck to- in case you didnt know that- I know your all knowing about other stuff!

I think weight is the issue here so another amp is out of the question

Depends what color you want. Most any speaker will sound the same on the stock HU, except some have really poor bass output, and by really poor I mean what the hell happened to anything less than 200hz... So pick em by color pretty much lol but be wary of smaller cones like the ones in the link you posted, although 6" aint too bad.

Oh and stay away from Jensen, Dual, Sony, etc...

if it'll boost sound quality up a bit i may install a small amp under the pass seat. or maybe if one could fit in the glove box.

but yeah weight isnt good lol, plus IIRC for track days, you have to remove anything that could fly out, and an amp would classify.

well theres also the weight of the wire, RCA's, line-out converter, speaker wire... before you know it youre up another 30-40lbs including the amp

if youre going as far as removing door panels then I wouldnt add an amp.

If you're looking at speakers check out those partsxpress OEM Ford ones. They're only like $27 shipped to your door for a set of 4 and the sound quality is much better than stock. I just put a whole set in and am pretty happy with them.

I like Kenwood products, and those speakers look quite nice. I think I'm gonna have to pick some up, once I get rid of my other speakers.
