Suspension Bottoming

Is it normal for the suspension to bottom out over dips and speed bumps? The car has 38K miles on it but I don't know the previous history. When I hit a medium sized dip or climb over a steep speed bump the front suspension bottoms on the bump stops. Yesterday, I was turning in to a driveway that dropped off from street level and one of the tires rubbed the wheel well. There is no excess rebound when I rock the car.

I had this problem as well. I changed my suspension to Kyb Agx. When I removed my factory suspension, I found that it was trashed. It was factory after all. Lol. I know that Svtf suspension is supposed to be great, but the Kyb agx have been really wonderful. The struts and shocks are adjustable and have a lifetime warranty.

my foci was 65xxx when i got it and when i took corners the front plastic lip would always scrape, i didnt bottom out the car, but it always scraped that lip

i got in an accident and they had to replace the struts, and so far it seems to have disappears!

if i had the money to put better shocks/struts/springs all around though i would have, just couldnt afford it at the time! factory suspension doesnt seem to be all that people have cracked it up to be imo.
