Interior lights mod question

Yay! I started a thread here not too long ago, but winter time. I asked for some tips, what I'd need to get, what I can do, and blablabla.

I've finally hooked them up, wired them up, and they're all set! Pictures will come soon.

Now, next thing I will be needing to do, well, want to do is trunk mod, and the vent mod.

I'm looking at this (clicky) and what type of power does it have? I'm seeing this is what it has.

Quote:
Which wire is power and which is ground?
The silver wire is 12v +, and the gold wire is 12v - (ground). If you accidentally reverse them, nothing bad will happen.
The silver wire that is 12v + , is this what I can use to connect to the trunk wire that was factory installed?

My plan is to order two 19" led flex strip for the trunk, and several pre-wired led's. Which one is better, 5mm or 3mm? The bigger it is, the brighter, the better. So I'm guessing 5mm is better?

That's what I want to do, but I'm going to use LED Flex Strip lightings (19inch) for the trunk mod. The wires, I'm asking about the wires. It has silver wire which is positive and the gold wire is negative (ground). Can I connect them to the factory trunk lights wire?

Thanks guys!
