*SOLD* Steeda tri-ax (2002.5+ model)

Selling a Steeda tri-ax short-throw-shifter that will cars built after april 2002. Shifter is only 6 months old, and is in fantastic condition, the only thing missing is the teflon grease since I used it when I installed it in my car. I'll even include the stock spring for the reverse lockout mechanism, which isn't normally included with these. This really is a great mod for people who are looking for some refinement to the awful throw length and height of the stock shifter as this actually changes the pivot ratio of the shifter instead of simply shortening the height.

Selling because I need the cash right now, so I decided to cut down my stock shifter, (which is a nice compromise, but it doesn't actually shorten the throw length the way this does.)

Asking: $125 shipped (or best offer) - SOLD to christopher48197!
my location: Ventura County, CA.
e-mail: s0niqu3@gmail.com

pictures below, cheers everyone!

how much does this reduce the throw? is it a very noticeable difference?

Hi,

This is about 1.5" shorter than the stock shifter, and I'd say that it reduces the shift throw quite a bit, maybe 10-15 degrees of pivot, but I can't find any hard numbers to verify. Regardless, its definitely noticeable, and if you search the interior forum I'm sure you'll find a lot of posts talking about it.

thanks for looking, cheers!

I think it shortens throws by at least 30%.

I just installed mine last week. Great shifter!

Bump for a good part!! Good luck!

To help clarify for some people...

I know that they show it on their website including a new plastic shifter base, but it doesn't come with one, and their instructions even say to re-use your factory shifter base.

From step 9 of the instruction sheet:

"You will need to reuse and transfer several pieces from the stock shifter to the new Steeda shifter. First, remove the plastic cup from the bottom of the stock lever as this will be reused. ... Once the reverse lockout has been removed, you can now take off the top cover place. This plate will be reused."

I can take pictures of the instructions if you'd like, and of course they are included with the sale.

cheers,
