More BROKEN Axles...

Well here's the deal, how many instances of axles being broken have we had on here, 3?

That's an excellent track record even for an aftermarket part to tell you the truth. It seems like what we're looking at here is a case of bad luck, or a "faulty" (not as strong as the others) part as the issue. Which for stock axles makes it even more impressive. Everything has a possibility of failure, even if aftermarket axles were offered I'm sure some of those would come off the line with structural deficiencies. That's what warranties against defects are for.

Yeah thats what happens when you drag race your car, and actually try to launch hard. The rest of the focus community cant admit to the fact that the axles in the focus arent as strong as eveyone thinks they are.

For the record, I've gone through 2 passenger side struts in 6 months on my Foci, but does that mean every single strut manufactured for the Foci are rubbish? Hardly...

The logic you've presented is flawed and my example above proves it. Just because a couple of people have problems, doesn't mean that every single one that rolls off the line is crummy. Stuff breaks, if you want something done about it, pitch your problem to an aftermarket company and prove there is a market for stronger axles. I guarantee you every single one of them will tell you its unnecessary.

Its like this , You can go buy a hammer and break it if what your doing with it is abuse over and above common sence or you can take that hammer use a little common sence and pass it on 3 or 4 generations


10.95 @ 137MPH and all on the stock axles that already had 100`s of 1/4 mile passes on them , No when some one breaks this time on DOT tires and 1 power added and cant go faster because of breaking axles then I may admit to axles need changing

Just finished a 413HP Zetec yesterday and he will abuse the crap out of it and we will see

my self i'd rather have to pull an axle and replace that then maybe a trans or worse yet an engine. axles are cheaper and easier to replace. i hope i never have to do it with my goal of the high 200's power wise but you never know.
