sucks to hear about this man. i've had a few dealings with people on here and haven't had a problem. mostly a few small items, though i did sell a set of rims and that went well. good thing is you're a cop, so if it was a scam, the scam is really on him in the end, lol.

in any case, do you know who he used to send them out? wait...nvm...it's the end of march, they'd be there by now, lol. was gonna say that if it was the slowest way with usps, then it very well could be 2 weeks for rims. but yeah, just noticed the date. hope it all works out.

I asked about the red focus and he said that they came off of that car. He was supposed to send them out UPS but after he got the dough he vanished.

if u need help finding where he's at, get a mod to get his IP. there should be a way to obtain it, and theres a program you can use to trace it back to its root.

if u dont have his adress already lol
hope everything works out for the best man

Talking Whahaa!!!

Dude what is going on here, people are just being totally shady... Take a look at this.. $150 is nothing compared to what happened to tkuwaha.
SCAMMERS!!!

http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...=153160&page=2

I recommend the following for future sales on FF:

People must have some buyer and seller protection.

Sellers must provide FF with correct phone, address, and contact info.

Buyer must be able to verfiy that this info is correct. FF should work out a deal so things are on a auction protection system, were sales can be protected. This is just bad for all of us.

The only thing I can say is this,( not that anyone doesn't already know this).

If someone is selling anything on here worth less then $50 don't worrie about it to much. But for anything costing over $50, they should go through an auction site like ebay or something for buyer protection. Any seller that is on the up and up would not have a problem doing this. If your dealing locally and not using shipping, then your more likely not to have this kind of problem.

But if you buy wheels from Dean McStealler, and he lives 2000 miles away, not really a good idea to send money on a basically verbal sale agreement. Not even a court ruling would be iron clad based on that alone.

Good luck guys, be careful!!!

A good suggestion-have a photo of your stuff for sale with a hand-drawn Focus Fanatics and your screen name under/beside the item for sale. This will verify that the photo is at least legit and not stolen from another site.

^They do that on another site I'm on (CarAudioJunkyard.com). They require you to have a slip of paper with your username and date written on it in every picture.
