since the 06 and 07 wrc rallies were won by our beloved euro focus, is there any one using a focus in us rallies? i ran many rallies during the late 70's thru the early 90's using the following cars:1976 amc gremlin 3 spd 6cyl, continental contacts(looked like dirt bike tires), koni adjustable shocks, full set of hella lighting-car very competitive in class...1981 renault lecar, koni adjustable shocks, 4 spd 4 cyl, hella lighting, fiberglass body, recaro seats, looked like an r5, but wasn't...1982 jeep cj5, no mods-exciting to drive in forest rallies...1989 suzuki swift gti one of the lesser known pocket rockets, ran less rallies and more auto crosses

I race a 2002 SVTF in Production class in Rally-America. Here we are on the way to winning the Berlin Regional at the New England Forest Rally (previously called Maine Forest Rally.)

There are some really nice folks competing with NASA in Rally Spec Focus.

My car was already sorted when I bought it used and I could have make spec and not afford to race or race as P since many of the allowable RSF mods make the car Group 2 spec for Rally America.

Ford needs to step up and get involved. With suby and mitsu dominating its a tough to make the leap privately.

i agree...i was able to convince a local dealership to sponsor me in an event, but most dealers don't have the open accounts that they used to...i used to participate in semi-pro events (8 to 12 hour events held during the night, mainly tsd format with a couple of short stages thrown in to make it interesting)...do any clubs still offer this format for the low budget rallyist? i can travel within most of the ne, but no longer canada
