Turns out that Edge wiper blade is 1" shorter than stock 15" wiper. There is nothing can be done, sacrifices must be made to achieve beauty!
I should get it on Monday :)

So what's the difference with the Edge wiper compared to the Mazda 3 wiper? The Mazda wiper wipes more surface than the stock foci.

I've read that Mazda wiper is just misses the 3rd brake light. I guess it's 16 or 17"

For the Edge wiper, you can't just get another wiper, they have special wiper blades and it attaches differently than other regular wipers.

Yeah, true, it barely misses but doesn't make contact...whew.

I didn't know that about the Edge wiper, thanks!

the edge wiper is wider at the base part than the Mazda 3 wiper but it is alot cheaper if you know where to order it than the mazda 3 one.

From what I've seen on the internet and calling my local mazda dealer, you can get Mazda wiper for ~$60?
I just ordered Edge blade + wiper arm $36 at my local dealer. It sums up to the same amount if you get it off internet, since you have to pay for the shipping.
Also when I called mazda, they told me 3-5 days to get it.
Ford-only 2 days. Sometimes they can get it even faster, because Ford has warehouse in Sacramento whitch is like 2hrs from here.

My Mazda3 wiper blade assembly cost me $10 from a recycler.

So I've been wondering ... I have a 2002 ZX3, is there a specific model year of Mazda 3 I am looking for to get the right wiper blade? I've got some vacation time coming up later this month and figured this might be something I go ahead and do. And based on finances going into the vacation, I might finally go up to C-F-M (They're 30m away) and do the SVT HVAC switch.

Hit up a salvage yard and hope to get lucky! Just troll some of the mazda3 forums and wait for a wrecked partout.

Well, I figure since I am going to be off from work for 10 days in a row, I can just wander around to a few of the salvage yards here in Central FL. The trick will be finding one that will let me eyeball the part against my car before I have to pay for it ... in case there are some variations in the wiper blade across model years ... but is there a general model year range I should be keeping my eye out for?
