Just a question
The 2.0L Zetec has a belt and the 2.0L & 2.3L Duratec have a chain.

2003 ZX3 Zetec 5 speed. Every winter in New York and many highway miles in snow storms.

It's been taken places a 4x4 Ranger wouldn't go.

It's been run into a ditch at 40, hit a driveway embankment, went 3 feet in the air and came down so hard that the oil pan dug an 18x20inch, 3 inch deep hole in a dirt road, then backed out and drove home and never need anything fixed.

It did around 10 rollback clutch drop burnouts the day of my graduation.

It was once stuck in a ditch so deep I was looking out the windows at dirt, and drove out on it's own power.

It currently is closer to 170k than 169k...and the most serious problem it's ever had was a thermostat. I love my Focus.

2005 ST.

130k, Losing the tumble flaps and going to have to replace the intake manifold.

Has had a brake job or two, blown an aftermarket clutch (slave cylinder), an ABS sensor, had shocks/struts replaced, and blown an exhaust manifold gasket which was replaced. Great car and very reliable for the most part.

185K still runs but won't move.

Our 04 ZTW has 185K, but the transmission quit. This will be our first major expence. wish we knew how much $. So far belts, tuneups, brakes, rear shocks, & two replacement alternators. ( alternatores not easily changed)

I bought my 2006 Focus ZX3 (2.0L Duratec) 5MT in Dec 2010 with around 93,000 miles on it. When I bought it I had the throttle body cleaned, and driver side seat belt replaced by the dealer.

Since then I had the 100,000 miles maintenance done (I think it's just coolant and spark plugs), trans oil changed, oil changes every 3k miles (Motorcraft 5w20 synth. blend). That's about it, it's been solid and currently has just under 112,000 miles, I figure I should be somewhere around 120,000 miles when I'm ready to trade it in next year.
