I don't think there are any cable or wiring on my system since mine is manual. My bet is in the steering wheel lock, sometimes it would be easier to turn when I wiggle the wheel.

That sounds about right: in my car the problem was independent of wheel position, but very dependent on shifter position.

just broke 100k putting almost all of it on myself :) only replaced 2 alternators(i think the first one replaced was a dud... only lasted a year >.>) but she runs like a champ!

2001 ZX3. Just went over 170000 today. Slocus was great 'til it jumped timing last year. Driving 600 miles without knowing what the hell happened didn't help, but she has alzheimers now. Don't know how to run like a champ sometimes. Still love her.

2006 zx3 SES 5 speed bought new, now has 205,000. Very hard miles. Other than tires and 2 power steering pumps it's been a tough little car
