2001 SE Wagon 270Km (abt 162K miles). Had it since new. Lots of stuff has been fixed/replaced. Body rusting, particularity the rocker panels (salt is used on the roads in winter here).

Engine is strong, just replaced the timing belt/pulleys for the first time. The exhaust pipe has NO BLACK residue, it is clean metal.

I am wondering if I should change the manual transmission oil? Don't come here often. In fact, that is why I am hear today to read up. Thnx.

186k Zx3 2.0 DOHC Salvage car.

Was hit by a fallen tree when only 2 years old. Body shop owner bought it from the owner as totaled and rebuilt it for a daily driver. I bought it from the body shop owner for $2500 about 3-4 years ago with 80k

Replaced:
Alternator
PCV hose
DPFE
Power steering pump pressure sensor
Belt tensioner
Broken spring (replaced with SVT suspension)

Does not burn a drop of oil. Oil changes every 3-4k with motocraft syn blend.

Gets 32mpg highway

2002 SVT Focus, Zetec, 157,000. currently running pretty well! going to put a new exhaust system on and maybe replace the header. thinking about some cam gears and dyno tuning it.
going to put a new alternator on the car , currently acting up electrically and yea, this is the reason.

Electrical Issues....Maybe?

I own a 2000 Ford Focus. It's a 4 cylinder & Im always up to date on scheduled maintenance.
Yesterday my car wouldn't start. I could hear the fuel pump kicking on and it sounded like it wanted to turn over. I have a new battery (connections good), plugs, wires, alternator, timing belt, water pump, and always add Lucas with every oil change.
I had it towed home & this morning started right up.
My check engine light is not on and was told it might be a sensor or my ignition switch.
Any help Please!!!!!!
