I started reading at page 1, then found this tidbit. I am doing this today. The side supports in mine are busted too. Awesome tip and rep coming your way. I have 135,969 currently. Replace a broken timing belt at about 89,000, just the belt and tensioner. Rear wheel bearings done under the recall at about 20,000. Brake pads around 60,000. Rears need to be done again. Front O2 around 100,000. Front springs replaced under the extended corrosion warranty at 128,000, broke both fronts. Fuel pump around 70,000. I just missed the satisfaction program by a month. Bought one outright then found out I could have had it done for free. Oh well live and learn. Broke 1 shifter base and 1 shifter cable clip on the trans. I should fix the therm housing but I haven't. RTV and zipties are holding for now, LMAO. I have to adjust the valves at some point. They are yelling at me to do so. Mods are listed below and associated parts have been replaced. I bout mine brand new with 6 miles on it, 2 from the dealer initial test drive and 4 from my test drive. Far as I know I am the only driver of this car since new. The only time it has seen the dealer was for the rear bearings and the springs. Other than that I do all my own work on it. Synthetic oil since 1,500 miles and I average 28MPG. All in all I'd say it's a hell of a good car so long as you get rid of the problem parts, EGR. |

01 zx3. 125k and change.
So far the only problems I've had is a broken passenger window (which I'm still trying to fix now), and the compressor for the A/C is dead. Decent car but I want something else. I'm noticing I'm not much of a "fanatic" anymore. |

I'm at about 99,300 miles! SO CLOSE!!! I will join the ranks of you soon.
Reading the posts did remind me of the things I had to do over the years. Got my 2000 SE in 2004 with around 35k on it and got to deal with gaskets, power steering fluid, coil springs (replaced suspension entirely and it was worth the $), ignition, replacing lights and a few batteries. If it weren't for some of those expensive fixes I'd say I spent more $ on just personalizing the interior. I'm afraid once I get to 100k I'll be so excited I'll get in an accident while trying to take a pic.
