Now at 170,000.

Would like to hit 200,000 before Sonic's 8th birthday on August 21st 2011, if not I should hit it before the end of 2011

2000 SE Wagon 215k Miles

And still going! Original owner. Original Zetec w/ automatic. All stock. No major repairs. But she's getting tired. Mass air sensor gets fouled more frequently these days. Still gets great MPG though. May be time for a re-manufactured combo or whatever I can find at my local salvage yard. This is a great forum and I really appreciate all the posts.

2001 Zetec

140,000 miles
Bought the unit brand new.
new spark plugs and wires every 35000 miles.
new thermostat housing at 76000.
New serpentine belt ,water pump, alt. at 75000.
nw frt. springs.[I bought them atFord at 80000 and nothing was said about a recall at that time]. Sorry Ford Service.
Four complete brake jobs frt.two on the rears.
Rear shocks and frt.stuts once.
3 new batteries.
one right front top motor mount.
one new oil plug
I'm on the fifth set of tires, I'll never buy a performance wheel tire combination again. They[tires] wear well but the Noise is unbearable.
one front left door handle
one radio antenna.Car wash took libberties on that one.
fuel filter at 90000.
All work performed by myself. I love this " throw away car" and I wouldn't be afraid to buy another one.

TK74du....try putting a full can of Sea Foam[sold at Wally Mart,Meijers,Auto Zones $8.00] with a full tank of primeum fuel and run the sh%t out of it till that tank is dry. Bet your sensor problems subsides! I do this every other oil change and never have replaced a sensor. Sensors don't go bad...people kill em'!lol.

bought a 2001 4DR SE Zetech brand new! probably ticking over 187k today :D

only major problems that have occured would be the alternator, for some reason the circuitry in the car has a flaw that nobody can ever find

the suspension is starting to go in the rear, i need control arm bushings, shocks and struts, and in the front a set of tie rod ends, but that's all about due anyways!

140,000.00 miles

Yes I too need new rear control arm bushings [not stabilizer, allready changed em'] and that could be a job. I'll probably have to pull the torches out for that one. A lot of people change rear shocks thinking that is the rattle. But if one will pull the plastic splash shield out of the way, they will see the upper control arms needing much attention. Good luck and have fun.

155k 05 zx3

Just purchased my first focus Oct 7th 2010- 2005 ZX3 2.0L Dtec Silver 5-speed 155k miles. Previous owner retired in June of this year and didn't need a 3rd car anymore. Car is in great condition and handles on a rail. Looking forward to a few maintenance items with tips learned from this site and putting another 150K on the odo.
