New here, just picked up a 2001 SE sedan 5-speed with 135k miles. It's had new tires, brakes, and an alternator and that is all in 9 yrs and 135k miles. The previous owner was the original owner.
I am replacing a wheel bearing and sway bar end links tomorrow. It still drives impressively well!

i have 199,465 on my 01 zx3 that had a 75 wet shot and still dont smoke, tap and holds good compression, all original gaskets!! and my 2000 se 5-speed zetec has 196000 all original including the clutch!!

167,600 miles on 2000 Focus SE Wagon;
Zetec 2.0L DOHC; auto transaxle; purchased new.

Alternator failed at 155k and head gasket developed oil leak at 158k.
Other than that, normal maintenance (mostly done at Ford dealer).

Runs good. Got 33 mpg on trip in May.

yes , almost any idiot with proper tools can pull an engine out andd hook it back up.

125k miles and still kickin , no major malfunctions but i feel catastrophic failure is immenent.
