year 2000 fuel pumps go bad.. see if the dealership will change it for you, since there was a TSB out on them.

2002 ZTS sedan, automatic tranny. Bought it at a hole in the wall with tint and custom rims for the girlfriend 'cuz she thought it was cute. Had 156,xxx on it when I bought it for $3200. Has a few annoying issues but ran well for about a month, water pump was making noise but still worked - then the alternator went out.

Car sat for seriously like 5 months 'cuz we didn't "need" it since she got hired at my company so we commuted together. I got a wild hair and replaced the alternator and water pump a few weeks ago. I will shoot the person responsible for that engine bay layout on sight if I ever discover their identity.

Now at 158,832 miles, running okay. Rear door handles STICK like no tomorrow, hard to open the rear doors. One of them no longer locks/unlocks with the rest, but I can hear the motor moving in there so it's just off it's rod, I'll get in there when I'm not being lazy and fix it. A few small leaks I haven't tracked down yet, nothing critical. Sunroof goes up but not back, no biggie, we don't use it much anyway. Center console is broken and floppy, looked at the mechanism and DAN what were they thinking it's cheap, lol. Looking at JY's for a replacement.

Car handles all kinds of weird and won't hold an alignment and I can't figure out why. Sits higher on one side than the other, too - but the shocks and springs all seem to check out. Screw it, looking into coilovers, just replace it all, lol.

Oh yeah - DPFE sensor thingy went out too, right before I had to smog it, LMAO. Replaced that, got rid of the codes it was throwing, got it registered. 2 miles after it passed smog the CES came back on, LMAO - funniest shit ever. Now only throwing one code, lean condition, dunno why, other two (Excessive EGR flow and Catalytic converter efficiency) have never come back. Screw it, she runs okay.

Anything else I should expect?

My 1996 Saturn SL2 is approaching 272,000 and runs like a top and passes smog. That thing will never die, lol. Hoping this Focus is comparable in the long run...

123127 miles on my 02 SE Zetec automatic
I replaced The Alternator, Thermostat housing 2 times, coolant hose which blew while passing a car on the freeway, front wheel bearings, valve cover gasket (who is responsible for the thermostat housing ) and had to replace the ATX Transmission a few months ago :/ now I am getting a vibration in that seems to be coming from the front end and is worse when i apply brakes, besides that no major problems

2000 Ford Focus LX 200k on mine. I have regularly maintained and serviced it. She is still running strong! Hoping to get another 100k from it. The clutch seems to be going out (RPMs go up and the acceleration is slow). I'm looking to replacing it before it leaves me stranded.
