My first svt is still running in the yard with 182K on her and her little sister just had her sweet 100K birthday.

Just hit 100 k the other day in my '06 zx4 2.0 Duratec, and still running fine. Matter of fact, it runs better than it did when it was new......snappier throttle, better acceleration, etc. I thought I was going to have to do a performance mod because it was so sluggish. But after getting some miles on it, it loosened up. Anyway, so far only routine maintenence. Had the front wheel bearings done, and the driver's side axle replaced. Ya'll think I should go ahead and have the passenger side axle and the rear bearings replaced now?

I'd say swap them when they ask for it. they're either good or they're not. (goes for axles and bearings, IMO)
I replaced my front bearings probably 30,000 miles ago and the rears are still fine

No problem. Keep in mind, the rear wheel bearings are handling a lot less weight.

Please forgive me for my ignorance here. What exactly are wheel bearings? Where specifically are they located? Are they on all 4 sides? Previously I've heard the phrase "repack the bearings". Not sure what this means and how it affects the performance of the car.

Thanks in advance for the explanation.
