I'm joining the club!
2002 SE Wagon, Zetec, all stock, auto trans, 290K --Totaled in accident in January. Was still going strong until then--no oil leaks, just normal wear.
Purchased 2009 SE, Sedan, Duratec, already 2700 miles. So far, so good. |

Hi to you all.
Dont know what you peeps on the other side of the pond would call my model!! But it's a 1.8 litre zetec engined LX UK model hatchback with just over 108000 miles on the clock and she still pulls like a train and burns no oil :0 Now the poor old thing is with me she will be undergoing a few modest changes,already have a set of Wolfrace alloys with tyres waiting to go on which cost a massive £23.00 bout $50.00 from Ebay lol gotta love them new sellers. |

2001 zx3 just clicked over to 156,000 tonight. I bought it in 06 with 94k on her, I drive 60 miles a day for school and work, I am hoping to keep her forever. Haha, got attached to my first car.
Problems: -Heater hoses -coil packs(gone through like 4) -Suspension scraping tire over bumps -Motor mount BOLTS sheared off on passenger side(700 dollars to be machined out and replaced) -almost jumped time, 250 to fix that, new timing belt -Thermostat housing(about to replace AGAIN) -thermo -Rotors and drums, and cylinders in the drums -valve cover gasket -lots of plugs -drivers side front wheel bearing/hub assembly -and I almost forgot, drivers side door handle assembly, window regulator(manual) I got mad at my door and ripped off the crank =/ Even after all this, I still love my car. I think it gets jealous of my gf sometimes though, like seriously. She can be temper-mental.(the car) |

192,000 now and got the right wheel bearing changed now, and also new e-brake cables since the old ones were sticking. Car rides smoother now with the new bearing.
LOL well finally replaced my spark plugs yesterday after the original ones had 192,000 miles on them. ![]() Ya don't smack me...just never got around to doing it. Anyway I think the gap on the old plugs was almost twice what it was supposed to be. Car definitely runs smoother now and seems to respond to changes in the accel pedal much quicker. Seems more peppy now. Glad I finally got around to doing it. I only had one plug that was a bit stubborn, but I used PB blaster and worked slowly and finally got it out without incident. -niko |

zetec 2.0 manual trans 165,000 Only one problem with the distributor going bad and making the motor miss. Quick fix. Does need general maint. Belts and such. Tried to sell it once. if i just switch between my 1.0 geo and this car its renews my passion every time. |
