Well, I have faith that we will have a tune one day.

Installed my springs on Wednesday and am heading to the track tomorrow. Hopefully I can work on my launch and the springs will help. I'm sort of "Install part, head to track, Install part, head to track..." LOL!

Any truth to dropping tire pressure to help with traction on street tires?

Many years ago I owned a modified 97 Eclipse GST. My best 60' on street tires was 2.1, and I got to the point that 2.2 was my average. IIRC, I dropped front tire pressure to about ~20 psi. Also, I made sure to put my tires in the water box and did a good burnout to heat them up.

I plan on taking my MK3 to the strip this Friday 3/22... I'll post my results. NOTE: I haven't drag raced in years so keep that in mind if I come back with 17 sec time slips LOL.

Trap speeds don't neccesarily indicate HP as shown with a recent test of an ST vs MS3 and the WRX. The MS3 ran a 14.3@100 while the Subi ran 13.5@100 while the ST was at 14.6 at almost 96mph so while the MS3 was showing a little more power the WRX was showing it's grip at launch with the same trap but was over a second quicker to even 30mph than both cars while the MS3 shaved that time down to a .8 deficit at the end.

It really depends on the tire if low pressure or heating them up will work or not. If it is a somewhat aggressive tire then I would say you would benefit a bit.

Also, I'm jelly you have the chance to go to the track so often, considering the state of our tracks out here lol. I'm trying to set up a drag pack for my car, but I'm not even sure I'll be able to use it...

I took my '02 ZX3 to the Gateway Motorsports Park Friday night for the first Midnight Madness of the season didnt run as well as I watned but I think my shifter cables are out of adjustment because it didnt want to go into 2nd right away and would grind going into 3rd and 4th. I wanted to get them adjusted but all the How-to's only talked about the orange adjustment clips not the yellow ones like I have but I think I figured out how to adjust them now. But anyway I was running BF Goodrich G-Force T/A 225/50/15 Drag Radials on Mustang 10-Hole wheels and I had the pressure at 25 PSI. My best pass was a 14.8 @ 105 MPH out of 3 passes. I only have 2 time slips because they gave me the wrong time slip the first time. This was only the 2nd time I've ever been to the track and fist time with this car so my next time I'm hoping for some better times.

I need to work on my reaction time and launching the most but need to get my shifter cables fixed first anyway here are my time slips I'm car 3321, the time slip on the left was my last run of the night and it was against my buddy's SRT-4 with slicks but he was having problems too. The slip on the right was my 2nd pass against a GTO.

Not bad. I would be interested to see what the '10 does after the "future mods" in your sig.

The first time I went to the track with it I ran a 16.5 on street tires with the current mods not sure on when I'll get the future mods done I'd like to have them done for FF '13 but we'll see how it goes.

Im car 2983 the other car was my other buddy in his Protege5 this was from Midnight Madness last year in Oct. and was my first time at the track.

What! You have more mods than I do on that thing. Automatic or something?

Nope its a 5-speed just never had prior experience at the strip that was my very first run ever and the only run ive done in that car. Ive only made a total of 4 passes ever down the strip once in the '10 and three in the '02 so I just need some more practice
