SVT focus broken door handles

I cant seem to find replacements handles for the svt. ive tried searching gloss black and nothing. May have to put regular focus door handles on and paint them black but they will still have the texture to them. Anyone know where I can find an OEM gloss black SVT set of door handles?

Haven't tried calling dealers yet. Thats a last resort since most of their parts are way more expensive than finding them online. But I may have to do it since its an SVT and not a regular ZX3

are the outer door handles really the problem? when they break its usually the inner mechanism that the outer handle is attached to

I havent got a chance to get in there yet. I have found the smooth finish handles and all i would have to do is get color matched paint and paint it myself and clear it if it is. But if its the mechanism inside the door i can steal it out of any focus. im gonna grab two door handles off a rolled focus svt the same color thats already on my way home.

Hopefully you will be able to return them. like mentioned above, it's usually the inner mechanism that fails, if you have seen how the handles are designed you would understand, the outer handle is pretty thick, it's and "L" extension into the door skin, which pulls on a lever, that lever that is attached to the skeleton mounted on the inside of the skin is usually what breaks.

Handles through the dealer aren't that expensive.
This isn't 1970 any more. Dealer prices are very competitive.

I found me an SVT in my same color thats been rolled. guy told me 30 bucks for both handles. gonna get the mechanism with them as well if he will go for it. Gonna take as much as i can fit in my svt and see if i can make a little off it.

Unless you want to order the little plastic plug that goes in the belt strap to prevent the buckle from dropping to the floor. They come in a kit with all 3 colors and only 2 of each and each pack costs some $50. so is left to the discretion of the sale department to brake up and the cost per unit. I think I paid $15 for two... a bit high for a plastic disc IMHO.
