I used have air horns in my Z28 when I first started driving. My friends in the body shop biz used to tell me when I would pull up to pick them up and blow the horns, it would sound like the coffee truck was there.

you have to give them a proper test, next time a friend is over tell them to bend down and take a look at the huge scratch on the front bumper and hit the alarm, then ask him a question and see how loud he yells "what???"
