Too Hot?

Hey, so I had to ask why my 01SE is bogging down when I accelerate from a full stop. Its not a constant issue and it really seems to be during the hot weather (i.e. 90 degrees, is hot where im from) i have a filter on a stick using a cone and oem plastic tube. Any one with the same problem? It really bogs down when throttle is depressed more than 50%, if i let up tho, it comes back full power. Is it airflow?

Sounds like it is sucking hot air from under the hood to me.

I've been there with the setup you are talking about.

seems that way huh, I work for a company that does a little sheet metal work, i could probably have them make up a cover for the exposed cone.

Enclose the filter if you can but let it still get air from the bottom. Thats what i did and it really helped out a lot.
