Oh yeah! even at high 200's you still have to play with the pedal at the low grears, but a good set of light weight dragtires will help the situation. I was thinking some mickey thompson's or hoosier, but i want to use the stock rimsi cant type!!!! for $$ reasons, obviously!!

The Stock wheels will work, and work well. There a good size for dragging. If you do upgrade brakes, the next best (cheap) option would be a set of 16's with some kind of stikys. Are you going to want traction on the street? If so you might want to look into some drag radials, instead of just slicks.
If you do look for slicks, check out mustang forums. The some mustang owners use small slicks on the 15" wheels. They then sell them cause they need a bigger slick. YOu can find them for sale for very cheap.

Good Luck, and Nice ride!

M/T 22' by 8 will work fine with ur stockers and if you want to go bigger or have soem money to spend contact Bogart racing there the cheapest for drag rims don't buy them from a middle man straight from bogarts site and they can cut up a 108 x 4 bolt patter for any wheels in the import section

Thank you very much for the good info, fellas.

I was looking at the traction bar, lakewood makes one for 260 something in that area, right? are the strut bars even worth buying them, if i have the traction bar?

Yeah, i should have mentioned it, i want these for track only, I have a set of 17's w nittos, for the (LMAO) "unoficial" racing!!! that was hilarious....

I've read a few places where they say that the Lakewood traction bars kind of mess up your suspension.
