Motorkote

My dad bought these products called Motorkote. It's a kit that came with a 32 oz. jug of "Motorkote Hyper Lubricant," and two small cans of "Motorkote Fuel Optimizer." The Lubricant is an oil additive, so I'm going to wait until I get my first oil change at 5,000 miles (I'm at 4,700 miles right now). The fuel optimizer you just throw one bottle in at a fill-up of gas, and you add another bottle every 3,000 miles. I put in the fuel optimizer yesterday and have driven about a good 20-30 miles so far, and I'm still on Full. I'll let you guys know how good it works. I'm hoping the oil additive will be good when I put it in. Supposed to increase horsepower, get better gas mileage, smoother driving, etc... Back when I had my Mustang, I threw in some "System-48 Plus," an oil additive. I noticed phenomenonal changes. Smoother, way better performance, little bit better gas mileage (I got 19-20, compared to Mustang's standard of 16-17), etc. So I'm a believer in oil additives. Where does everyone else stand on this issue?

all depends on what oil you use. With regular/blend oil yeah additives are good. but if your using synthetic it's already full of stuff. Give a try tho and see how it goes. I use the fuel cleaner often tho...maybe every other tank.

I'm thinking of getting full synthetic oil when I get my oil change soon. So I'd be using this Motorkote additive with full synthetic oil. Bad idea?

if u have full synthetic oil like royal purple or amsoil adding the additive is just wasting money is your just using regular oil then the additives try to act like full synthetic oil at a cheap price

we have customers at my work that at stuff like that to their motorhomes when they purchase them.

as stated above if your going synthetic i dont see the need for any more additives.

I just got my oil change. I got Motorcraft full synthetic. Added the Motorkote just for the hell of it.

Just make sure not to add too much. If the overall level is too high ya might blow a gasket.

I added the right amount. My car's a lot smoother now after the oil change and adding the Motorkote. We'll see about mileage...
