mine broke last winter as well. I had the alluminum shorty antenna and it must have froze and when i was cleaning the snow off of the car i just barely bumped it and i heard a tink... and was like awww you gotta be kidding.

broke my antenna yesterday morning too cleaning off the snow... such a light tap too. I checked the bottom of it and there looks like there is some corrosion. At least I now know how to replace it.

<<< also a victim of the antennae breakage. Same situation, the screw broke off in the base. Was a very cheap fix, even buying the base from the dealership. Was surprised it was so cheap, actually. Total fix took about 10 minutes max.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone have the part number for the antenna mast? How about a good website to find part numbers? This would be for a 2002...I think my antenna literally just came unscrewed and fell off unless someone stole it. The Ford dealer wants about $40 just for the mast. Sounds high? Thanks!

Yeah our OEM antenna either fell off or was stolen (the base wasn't broken). The cheap "universal" antenna that I replaced it with broke within a month and broke the base along with it. Argh. Time to decide if I want to spend $50 for both OEM parts or research a better solution.
