Help adding aftermarket radio to 2009 focus

Hi folks,

Been searching and searching and just getting more and more confused, so I am just going to ask.

Just got a 2009 Focus SE sedan. As far as I can tell, it's just the base radio with Sirius and an aux in plug (No USB, No Sync, no Steering wheel controls).

What functions will I lose? Will the clock work? I've read something about some of the harnesses having a parking brake and speed sensor wires. What's up with those?

What products will I need to add an aftermarket stereo? All the functions I want will be in the aftermarket HU, so just need the basics.

Dash kit adapters?
Wiring Harness Adapters?
Antenna Adapter?
anything else?

Help a Focus newb out please!!!!!!!!

I found this on ebay LINK, but I don't think that the harness has everything.

I went with the Pyle PL683BL 6 x 8-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers.

They are cheap, but I like the sound. They are pretty much waterproof and have a high sensitivity. I have them amped in my wife's Grand Marquis and also used them in my F150. I have some expensive pioneers in my Cougar and can't really tell the difference.

Did you take a look at Crutchfield to see the dash a wiring adapters avail.?

That's one good source for what fits & what's needed for an install.

Seeing the lack of responses, thought I'd add that idea.

This "stickie" has a lot of info., without looking for individual threads:

Probably similar to what you've found already. '08 was the first year for your model BTW.
