You have to be a registered SCCA member now to participate in the OKC SCCA autocrosses. However, the Porsche Club and BMW Club run autocrosses at the Sheriff's Training Center. I'm just throwing that out there so people aren't excluded or required to pay a membership fee to participate!

How have you been, Jason? I know I haven't frequented the forums (any for that matter) in a while.

I've been considering selling the Focus as of late and going with some cash in hand and a late model 300ZX. But we'll see...

Well OKSCCA will let people get a 1 day membership, so that is not a huge issue. Besides, if they try it once, I bet they will be hooked.

Oh, and if you sell your car, LET ME KNOW FIRST! I might want to buy your OZs off of you. Trade my wheels + cash or what not. :D

I may sell it, but we'll see. I picked up a tune for it and am now awaiting its arrival. I needed it regardless to help sell the car (never did get the Y tune despite demanding it after several dealership visits while under warranty) with the dying while coming to stops and bogging in first and funky roll-on throttle stutter. But with the improvement in driveability and slight power increase, maybe I'll feel differently about the car. Part of me just really misses RWD and the feeling of an ever present torque, but I also would have trouble of letting go of that flickable nature and lightweight characteristics of the Focus. We'll see as I've yet to drive the car I'm considering.

I did not know about the one day membership. Do you mean the weekend membership program? Otherwise, I am completely ignorant on the topic.

What's more fun, autocross or track days?

I always drive the airport road when I head up to Stillwater to visit my friend as he lives right off of Boomer Lake.


Mt. Scott down in Lawton is a fun drive and place to meet, but for most posting here, it would be a long drive. There are some fun roads running around the perimeter of the hills and windmills.





Some of the highways by heading north towards Grand Lake are nice as well, if people wanted to drive more in the Tulsa region.

Just throwing out ideas and other things to do than just the SCCA autocrosses - everyone can participate in a cruise. Though, I do admit that autocrossing is a lot of fun.
