Help with CV joints!

So according to my mechanic...and myself my CV Joints are going..... (typical grinding noise when turning the wheels while traveling....)

So my question is, do they make performance CV Joints...(ie....what do rally cars use?)

and if you can't buy performance CV joints....anyone know where I can get a killer deal on some cheap stock ones?

Thanks in advance.
Kevin

Here's a dumb suggestion. Cheap place to get CV joint, pick n pull or junkyard.

youd probably just be better off buying the hole axle,,most cars you dont replace joints now,nor do most auto parts place sell um,, you can buy whole assembled axles and install them about as cheap (and all your joints, inside set and outside set are rplaced at the same time.) and with less effort and time as replacing joints.

I've got a set from a 02 ZX3 Auto trans. 80k on them but look good, no noises when removed. Can ship to you. Let me know if you're interested, we'll work out a deal.

170,000 on mine...

What kills cv's is if you put a lot of power to them when you have the wheels turned. Basically the same kind of stuff that kills a diff, or pretty much any kind of angled gear.
