I honestly don't see what the presence of "hippes and gheys" and "treehuggers" has to do with sap on your car....or why you felt the need to include what appears to be your thoughts on a region in a technical area, but I digress.....
Anyway, in answer to your question, one thing that will remove sap and is horrendous for the enviroment is isopropyl alcohol, or rubbing alcohol. not totally a "green" prduct, but minimal harm to the enviroment. the trick is to get a rag good and soak it with the alcohol, then use the rag to dab the alcohol on the sap, and let it over time break down the sap. once the sap is broken down, it should wipe away fairly easily, and save your paint the abuse of rubbing it with a rag. The spot you treat will look dull, as the alcohol will break down any wax or polish on your car, you will need to touch that up. In areas with lots of pine trees, your best defense, like any other region, is a smooth clay barred paint surface, a good coat of quality wax, and persistant detailing. another product that is not as friendly to the enviroment that will also help with the sap is gasoline applied the same way as the alcohol.

I've got the same problem, but I use Wizard's wax to get it off. Just use quite a bit, and apply alot of pressure where the sap is and it should come off.

hay tailbikerider, does that stuff mess w/ your paint at all. I know you say its a wax but I tend to shy away from some wax b/c of the contents in it are really not that good for your car's paint. I guess i could just read the back but thanks for the input my man.

Don't worry about the rep points, your rep is so low, it wouldn't affect my rep, also, I don't really care about rep points, they mean nothing to me.
