if you look close you can see the foam rubber i put between the battery and the heat shield, and you can also see my awesome Outerwears pre filter.

and i know my car is dirty, there's almost nothing i can do, its winter and utah roads are covered in salt and crap.

the airbox (for me at least) was really irratating to get out. you have to wiggle this, unsnap that lol then it comes out, and its only the top portion what you see otherwise theres this huge hose that goes into the driverside fender. throttle response is increased and i think with the intake you might get a few extra clicks out of a tank, with it and the exhaust system on my car i do get about another 50kms per tank or so provided i keep my foot out of it.

I have the Steeda with the same isues. I'm afraid the filter might pop off so I check it frequesntly and you just reminded me to get something to protect the battery cables.

I did something similiar. I ran outta the rubber grommet/wire that they give you, so I ran down to Checker and got another foot of the stuff. It was just normal rubber piping so I cut a slit in one side and put it between that corner and the battery cable. Was starting to cut the outer plastic.

Yea I went and bought 3 feet of small rubber tubing and cut it and wrapped it all the way around my heat sheild and it fits nice and looks nice. Yea i had the intake installed for 3 days and there was already some gashes in the battery cable so that is why i got the rubber tubing

Me too, same thing. Bottom line, it's engineered for the '05 and there are enough minor changes in the 06 and 07 that, for the money, they really should make a seperate UPDATED kit...
