i went to pep boys and asked for the ceramic pads they were about 45 for the front set they are awesome.

They are overrated and overpriced in my opinion. There are lots of better pads available. EBC also has a quality control problem that they don't seem to be addressing. There are too many reports of friction material separating from the backing plate. That's just plain inexcusable for anything claiming to be a performance product. Sure would be nice to see them address that issue. The Hawk HPS is possibly the most popular high performance pad available for good reason, they work, as do the axxis and mintex pads. And, by the way, the HPS are semi metallic as well. Stock Ford pads are not bad and actually work pretty good. It's their rotor quality that is the problem.
