Michigan's got some pretty gnarly potholes... I'd go 16 or 17.

I'd recommend some nice 16's, but if you have to go baller then I would say no bigger than 17's. I've seen way too many of my friends bash up their rims on these roads

17's... I run 17 in the summer, and the stock rims with 16 " snows in the winter. Works well, ...18's are too big for the foci.

Whatever you get look form the lightest wheel and tire combo you can afford. Rotating mass is a focus's enemy. I agree, don't get more than 17's.

18s look best IMO... However, I am biased. With small tires, the rotating mass isnt much more if any at all.

You'd be surprised how much difference that one inch makes. Most 18's I have looked at weigh the same (plus or minus a few onces) as the popular 17" sizes. The key is that the weight (tire and rim) is farther from the hub which increases the rotating mass significantly.
