wrong springs???

A couple months ago the dealership warrantied the front springs on my wife's 02 wagon. Ever since then it has had a shuddering on acceleration with only one person in the car, with more people or weight its fine. Her car seems to sit higher in the front with the new springs. For comparison I can fit 4 fingers between the top of the tire and the fender on my 02 zx5 and on her wagon I can fit 4 fingers and my thumb (about 3/4" difference).

I read the sticky above and see that the springs were changed in 06. I'm thinking that the 06 springs would make the car sit higher because every newer focus I've seen looks like it sits a little higher than the older ones. Maybe they installed the 06 springs by mistake (is that even possible?)

How can I tell which springs are on the car? The stealership wants $50 just to look at it.

Or is it normal for new springs to sit that much higher until they break in and settle?

What is the part# on the invoice that you were given? I will check to see if it is right.
Other than that there should be a tag on the spring with the part# on it.

The spring part # that is part of the program is 3S4Z-5W310-CA. If your invoice or the tag on the springs are different then the wrong springs were installed.

That's the right part # on my invoice then. I'll have to go see if I can find a tag on the springs.

they might settle a little bit too and end up the same height as your car.

The 2006 and up spring will not work, so im sure they have the right type anyway. He is correct by part number and there was also one other spring that could have been on the car. 1S4Z-5310-FA is also a correct number for a wagon front. If this happened just after they did the work, take it back and tell them.

I finally got a chance to go find the tag on the springs the number is: 3S41-5W310-CA. Is that the same as 3S4Z-5W310-CA? and if so is there anything else they could have done wrong in there to make it sit so much higher?

On another note I was installing a remote start on an 07 the other day and checked the height and it sits a little higher than my 02zx5 but still lower than the wagon with these springs.....
