Lincoln LS

I was on my way to pick up my g/f some food and i was cruising along at 53mph or so and i'm next to the Toyota 4 Runner, and there was this car riding his bumper. We come up to this light and i take off kinda fast to see if this 4 Runner wants to play. Of course he doesn't so i get back up to 53 mph or so and i'm about 3 car lengths in front of this 4 Runner, and the person riding his bumper jumps over behind me and cuts the 4 Runner off. All I can see is at the time was that it's a 4 door sedan.

I kick it down into 3rd to see if he'll bite and he does. He was about a car length behind me and when we shut it down around 80 he was about a car and 1/2 in front of me. I noticed that it was a Lincoln LS V8. What little 'race' this was, the LS put the smack down on me. I wondered how good they'd do and i they do pretty damn good in my opinon. I've raced other Lincolns and blew them away because they're meant for cruisin.

On a side note: my g/f's grandma almost got one but didn't like it. Said that it was too sporty for her. Her last car was a big ol' Caddy so i guess that's an excuse. But for a Lincoln they don't look too bad.

I gotta tell ya, the only thing that has truely beat me since I got my SVT was a Lincoln LS V8. Those things are fast! It had a dealer tag on it and a 20's girl driving with I assume her b/f and I got stopped beside her at a light. We both took off when it turned and I didn't get a good start, but it wouldn't have mattered. She toasted me and got a good laugh out of doing it. If I were going to get a sedan and I could justify spending $35K plus, I would definitely get one of those.

The V6 is not slow either. They are both fast, not even a noticalbe difference in the V8. But the 6 can have a stick.

I've always liked the LS. I couldn't justify dropping the green for one though.

On a side note to your side note: My grandmother bought a new 91 GT when she was in her mid 60's. It was a beautiful green with the silver trim around the bottom and grey leather interior. She had it for 8 years and only put 30K miles on it and turned around and sold it back to the Ford dealership for about 7k less than what she paid for it. It was still imaculate.
