SVT Transmission fluid capacity?

Ok so I changed my oil today to Royal Purple, the car as 15k on her now so I thought it would be a good time to do it....

I also have been hearing everyone rave about the Royal Purple Synchromax transmission fluid so I decided to pick up some of that....

I jacked the car up, took out both transmission fluid plugs and let it drain for about 5 min till there was nothing more then a slow drip coming from the rear plug...I screwed in both plugs and the removed the battery and its box to get more room to remove the fill port at the top. Unscrewed that and started to fill her back up. After 2 bottles I grabbed the third and started filling. She took all of the third bottle with out any coming back out the fill port, that is 3 quarts. I thought our tranies only took 2.1

Did I miss something here , should I go back out and get another bottle and put more in till it starts coming out or should I be ok.....Or did I put too much in?

Thanks guys!

There is only 1 drain plug, and it's on the side by the dogbone transmission mount. You make it sound like there were two. The fill plug is on the front and very low on the transmission. I've never used more than 1.95 quarts. I also will reopen the fill plug after the transmission has warmed up to let any excess out. Should be 8mm hex for both drain and fill so it sounds like you took the wrong bolt out.

ps - the maintenance interval is 120,000 miles.

Aaaaaaa shit, yup sounds like that what I did.......should I just undo the front plug and let the excess drain out....and did I hurt anything by filling it using the wrong hole?
