Unhappy Speed-Hut Gauges *Poof*

Well apparently my speedhut gauges have died, I was driving down the road (a back road for that matter with no lights) around 11pm and suddunly the blue glow from my gauges is gone.. so im driving down the road not knowing how fast im going, until I remember the old dimmer light for the old gauges so I crank that up and you can see the gauges a bit better. So I pull into town, into a well lighted parking lot and pull out the trusty flash light and look for a wire that must have come loose, To no avail.

So the next day, I pulled off the dash panel and all and checked (and rechecked) all the wires and everything was connected, yet the gauges still have no glow. Does anyone know what is wrong with them, I wired them into my Cig outlet, and its still recieving power. Could the glow material have gone bad or what?

Thanks, Shawn

Edit: Also, I have the upgraded inverter thing, and it stays warm even though the gauges dont work, so its obviosuly recieving power aswell.

Does it have an inline fuse?

True, they might replace them. BUt I would bet on it being a fuse somewhere

What did you cut into for the power? Check that fuse. Did you use the lighter thing? IF so you said that doesn't work when you pug the gauges into that, right? Maybe you blew that fuse.

Well I got a reply to my e-mail (never called them, been "busy") heres the response-

"Please call 801-796-1460 and we will give you a return number for sending them back for replacement.

They should not have blown up! Could be a problem with the wires coming off the el glow dials. We can check it out and replace for free.

Aaron"

Thats just dandy and all, but how exactly am I supposed to drive around with no gauges.. :/
