Hi, I just joined after buying my 2003 SVT 3 door on Saturday. It's red with all the options, 83K miles, stored winters so no MN rust. Seller has a baby coming and had to sell the Focus and his Harley. I am amazed that, at least around here, the SVT costs about the same as the tamer editions. Must be the manual trans. I only paid $5,500 which was a lot less than any other listing with similar miles.

I had a '95 Miata for 8 years and sold it this spring. But though I love my pickup and Land Cruiser, I missed the nimble roller skate. The only reason I even thought of the Focus was reading the comparison road test on the Road & Track site to check out small performer hatches. I am so impressed with the SVT. It has more power and torque than the Miata and heaps more comfort and refinement. Corners nearly as well and feels more controllable at the edges.

So far I am just planning on getting a major service w/timing belt, putting in some fresh bushings, and getting a performance tune mainly to improve the torque curve a little. My little sister is gaga over it but I'm afraid she will have to find her own.

Hi, my name is Shane and I'm from reallyyyy upstate New York. Like 30 mins from the Canadian border upstate. I drive a 2003 Green ZX3 Focus with 169k miles. It's been an NY car it's entire life.

Other than sound stuff, the only thing I've done to it is an Ebay short ram and Magnaflow catback. In the 3 years I've owned it, I've only ever seen one other one exactly the same.

I'm only 20 so it's my first and only car and I love it. I'm currently looking to upgrade and I'm tossing around several options, the top two of which are an SVTF or a plain jane ZX3 with low miles as the base for a mildish turbo build. I'm the only person I know from this area with this kind of knowledge of the Focus, so I'm hoping this helps me find some others. I always like to learn more.

Hi guess im New to this forum... Been on the jet for a while;

I have a black 00 zts.. Pretty close to being done with mods on it.

I started a 'build page' here.

My names Richard I live in central California I have a bunch of kids (4 actually) I'm 30.. I spend way to much time on the computer (at work) at home it's the iPhone so that will always be my excuse for bad spelling and grammar.

I guess that's all I have to say.

Hello All,
I am new here also. I just traded my 06 Mini Cooper for 2012 Focus SE. I have lots of Mods to do starting with the passenger seat. I think I should have spent the money and gone to a Titanium. Oh well, 20/20 hind sight. Tire Rack will also be getting some business. I am glad to be here and hope to learn a lot.

Im Bill, I just bought my 02 focus ZX5 for a cheap fun DD and Im in the process of fixing it up.
I came upon this site lookibg for any/all info about my new car

The kid who had it before me didnt take care of it at all.

Mommy and Daddy paid for everything so he just didnt show the car any love...hence the reason it was $500 LOL

Ill have pics of it how It came to me and as I progress ill post updates.

Can't wait to have a DD that gets better than 12mpg!

Another newbie here.

I bought my wife a 2003 SE model with a little over 100k miles on it. I found this site by googling ford focus forum. This was the first site in the search. The reason I came here is because her car is surging at various times. I found a great article on cleaning the IAC, and I am hoping that will fix the problem.

Anywho, great to be here. It looks like it is a very informative site. Yall have a great day.

New to Focus. Got this one from a friend. Under 24,000 miles on it, needed some maintenance, otherwise near perfect. Looks to have most options available and as far as I can tell it's stock.
Handles pretty darn good too!

Only problem is I have one car too many now and may have to sell it.
