Mine does the exact same thing. I thought it was because I had an older tune so I got with Tom and he worked with me over email and we were able to update my tune. I was still getting around 17 mph. Then I put in the platinum plugs and mpg shot up to around 22. The copper core plugs seem to smooth the car out a LOT, but the platinum mosdef get better gas mileage. I don't have an air/fuel gauge so I really cant tell whats going on in there. Tom did mention that my air intake sensor was reading abnormally high temps, but I have switched to a volant Cai since

So I just got my order in from Tousley & CFM of CFM Wires and I went with the stock platinums. From what I'm reading I shouldn't have a problem running the stock coil right? The gap shoul be .06?

I recently purchased a 2003 SVT, and in the process inherited a Screamin' Demon coil and Live Wires setup. After reading through most of this thread, I'm wondering if I should swap these out for something else. I haven't had any issues so far; I just want the car to run as well as I can make it.

From everything I had read over the years, the stock coil is superior to the Screaming Demon's.
