That Screamin Demon is absolute garbage. It actually made my car run worse... LOL

How does one tell if a plug is in the wrong heat range? Does the ceramic get discolored? When I pulled my coppers, it looked like they had heat damage where the ceramic meets the metal base, that got progressively worse the further from the t-stat they were.

Yep, I agree 100%. Thats why I ripped that crap off there as soon as I could
and put in a new OEM coil pack. So glad I did, runs so much better now.

I am looking to replace the plugs with the motorcraft coppers and installing the taylor wires. However, someone told me those plugs will only last about 15,000 - 20,000 miles. Has anyone using these plugs found this to be true?

It takes 10 minutes to change the plugs, so I really wouldn't worry about how long they last.

FWIW, I replaced mine (the Motorcraft Coppers) at ~20,000 miles and they were still in great shape.
I put in a new set every year anyway regardless of mileage.

with a MSD coil pack and Ford racing wires, what gap should I put my autolite double plats? they are at .55 right now.

and also, could widening the gap increase performance and/or should I go with a different spark plug?

and then same question, what size gap?

Hi evreyone,
i have been reading this post and i see a lot of info thats very useful. And i would like to ask you about ur opinions about a problem on my foci, recently it has started to develop some sort of problem when i press the gas pedal. It starts to sounds like trembling,
so that impedes me from burning rubber when i want to, but also when switching gears up, so i have to switch gears slower than i used to. Also i bought new bosch copper sparks, but the wires are still the stock ones. (this problem i got it a few days after i installed the spark plugs) could it be that the wires are broken or that the spark plugs are defective??

I havent heard of too many people having good luck with the Bosch plugs.

I would put the old plugs back in just to see if the problem goes away.

Also what did you gap the new plugs at??

Uhm i guess thats not an option, since i threw them away in the garbage right after i finished. About the Gap, it is 0.060 inch.
