What y'all think of this idea?

Stuffing a Chrysler Intrepid engine/transaxle into the back of a Focus. It would take up the whole back part of the car but it would fit. The engines are all V6's ranging from 2.7 to 3.5 L in size. The trannys are all 4 spd autos. There's lots of Intrepids for sale cheap, you'd buy the entire car so you have all the wiring and electronics. You wouldn't have the traction issues like you would with the v8 swap. You'd have a well balanced, fast, cool, one of a kind car. I think it could be done for well under 10 k.

You would have to be a good welder -fabricator but I don't think it would be that tough to do. You might have to redesign the rear suspension [that might be the toughest part] Pictured is the 2.7L DOHC. 200 hp. The 3.5 is 242 hp.

why would you want a crappy dodge motor?

no thanks. ill keep my ford.
remember that building a car shouldn’t come from parts it should come from deep inside your soul. let the car speak for all the emotions, memories and experiences youve made and the car will take a life of its own. truth over fame.
