VIR Full - what a blast!

Just had my first track experience at VIR Full Course over the weekend.

Dayum what a fun track - blasting through the Uphill Esses and through Hog Pen are a serious rush. Those turns *really* teach you to respect the importance of proper line and commited driving.
Didn't have any real moments, but a few where my instructor said "thaaaat's about as fast as you want to take that".
Decided to miss the last session because I was getting tired and didn't want any brain fade on track, and I had done so much high-rpm running the PCV breather filter had filled with oil and contaminated the air filter and MAF (the last run I noticed it stopped pulling as hard from 6-7k).
Gotta get a catch-can setup in before the next time!

Saving all the video now - I'll post up links if it's worth watching.

I think that would be awesome. What does it take to set up an even like that. Something like a weekend event that cost between $250-$350 with instructors.

I've been itching to get back to VIR full ever since I got the car running again.

My club (THSCC - www.thscc.com) is holding a track weekend at VIR Full Feb 9-10 - I know there's spots left.
Great group to run with.

Is the VIR date an SCCA PDX event?

No - our club runs it's own track program, but with essentially the SCCA rules. We also have a Time Trials program, for Solo-prepped cars.

Really good classroom instruction and good instructors, safety as a primary rule (i.e we have an equal-protection rule, where the passenger must have the same protection level as the driver - if you have a race seat and harness, you better have one for your instructor).

We'll have events at VIR (Full, North, and I *think* South), the newly-revamped Carolina Motorsports Park, and Rockingham this year.
