Question Dashboard warning lights

Ive have just bought a 2001 focus 1.6 zetec and was not given a handbook or manual. Driving home today i noticed a yellow warning light has come on on the left hand side of my display and was wondering if somebody could tell me what it means. It is the bottom warning light to the left of the engine temperature display and looks like it might be describing a fan! Any help would be much appreciated as i am still waiting on a handbook from ebay! Thank you

Describe the figure in the light.

Is your car an Auto? or Manual?

While it is for a U.S. model, you might want to download an owners manual for free from http://www.fleet.ford.com as I am sure there is much in common.

Moved to technical chat.

Does the light in question look like a little engine? If so that is your check engine light. What it is basically telling you is there is something up with the car and you need to get it checked. What you need to do is get the car scanned for a code. This code will tell you what part or parts have malfunctioned (things like misfires, bad O2 sensors, EVAP related isssues...)
