engaging into first gear

manual 2002 SVT focus,
i'm curious if this happens in all manual cars or no, since my SVT is the only manual car i've really driven
stop to starting to drive, i put it into first gear, and start giving gas, every now and then i might not give it enough gas as i release the clutch because its just too much feathering, and then the car like starts to vibrate/shake/stutter until i start giving it more gas or it catches. is that just me giving it too little gas with too much clutch where the RPM's start getting too low?

Sounds like not enough throttle to me. Could also be letting the clutch out to fast. I still do this once in a while in my car and I've driven nothing but stick in my 6 years of driving. Just gotta find that sweet spot.

alright sweet, thats what i thought.
what about when going into first gear, sometimes i'll hear a faint clunk from my car starting to move, pretty sure its from the clutch or something, is my clutch just going? sometimes i'll hear it going into 2nd gear aswell
