Theft light no mileage reading no crank wtf?

Blew a rod through the motor so i got a boneyard motor swaped them out got the new motor in reconnected the battery went to start it and the anti theft light is flashing really fast and the instrument cluster is showing all - - - marks and when i turn the key it does nothing no crank no fuel pressure nothing. I thought PATs system but does it do anything to the instrumetn cluster ? Im kinda lost right now i cant think of any reason for this problem.

Did you do anything with the ignition system or ECU? If something was changed in there, you might need a new key made.

Usually when the theft light blinks like that, they key is not programmed for the car. Maybe you can start by getting the key reprogrammed at the dealership.

I did nothing at all to ECM or the ignition system. I also thought pats system but its like my computer is just dead in the water none of the scan tools i hook up will communicate and the theft light seems dim to me when in the run position i mean it flashes really bright every 3 seconds then when i turn the key to run it flashes really dim and fast. Almost like it has lack of power or ground i checked and everything under the hood that should need to be hooked up is. Only thing i found was fuse f50 was poped i replaced it and still nothing and i have no clue why it would have blown ? i disconnected the battery before i did anything and didnt hook it back up till the swap was done im jsut so confused as to what could have happened and havent the slightest clue where to start. dealership is kind of out of the question as the car really isnt in the shape to be moved at the moment not to mention i dont want to deal with the attitude and price just because they have the wds dosnt mean im going to break down and go there till im positive its the only way.

oh my car did this once too, check the fuse for the cluster itself, if it blew or is missing then the car won't physically start. if that don't do it maybe you forgot to plug something in somewhere??

the fuse for the cluster should be in the panel in the car, number 61. its a 7.5 amp fuse. this also runs the pats sysem so if it blows the car goes int anitheft mode.
