Key Fob compatibility
Greetings!
Hoping a member with a bit more experience could shed some light onto this subject for me. Do you have to purchase a key fob with a certain part # referenced to the VIN of your car in order for you to program it with your car or will any key fob from a similar year Ford Focus work? The guy at the dealership said that even though the key fob part # I ordered off ebay doesn't correctly match my VIN it still could work because the part #'s have constantly changed and that the computer system doesn't have them all listed. Am I making sense?
