I met quite a few people in basic training who were anti-gun. They believed only the military should be allowed to have them and they weren't looking forward to marksmanship training which was 5 of the 9 weeks of basic. After they had a few weeks of experience with their rifle and qualified at the range, many of them had a completely new outlook on guns. A few admitted that they'd never fired a gun before basic training and that they'd been shunning them simply because they didn't understand them. It makes me wonder how many anti-gun people out there think the same way and just simply shun guns because they've never fired one and know nothing about them. They just push away what they don't understand. I wonder how many of those would have a change of heart if they were to fire a gun?

The revolver I had on me was a Ruger SP101, very similar to this one. I have the .22lr version.

took a mountain drive to Bridge Day in Summerville, WV today. That road is so fun from Gauley Bridge, all the way to Anstead. Like 25 miles of nothing but twisties. (:
